Our Origins
55 Plus Taxi was created from a place of love, loss, and purpose. After the founder’s mother passed away from breast cancer during the COVID‑19 era, life changed in an instant. In the middle of that grief, the founder began driving for Lyft and Uber — staying connected to the community and finding comfort in helping others.

While driving, she met many older adults who felt worried or rushed by other drivers. They needed someone who would truly care for them. That is why she started our company to help people like you feel safe.
